The station is to be set about 2 mi north along Highway 49 from the intersection of State Highways 4 and 49 (about 1 mi north of Angels Camp) near postmile 10.5. The station is to be set in the northeast end of an L-shaped concrete culvert. It is about 115 ft north of bench mark J 217 which is very loose in the ground and unsuitable for retaining elevation. It is about 20 ft west of a fence and about 20 ft east of the centerline of Hwy 49.
