From I-5, take Howard Rd/Westley exit, exit 441, onto Ingram Creek Rd and drive east. Immediately after the northbound offramp is a 3-way intersection for Howard Rd. to the south and McCracken Rd to the north, and Ingram Creek Rd to the east (for 0.1 mi).  Turn right on Howard Rd and drive south for 0.45 mi to where the road curves east.  Continue east on Howard Rd, crossing over the California Aqueduct and the Delta Mendota Canal (1.0 mi after the curve), driving for 2.4 mi to the intersection with Stark Rd.  Turn right and drive south for 0.9 mi to where the the paved part of Stark ends and there is a 'Road Ends' sign.  Turn right on Needham Rd and drive west for 0.3 mi to the DMC, continue west for 0.7 mi to the California Aqueduct and the end of the road, and the mark on the right.  Park on the east levee road.  The historical descriptions and stenciled locations on the aqueduct structures indicate that the bridge road is "Kern Creek Road", not Needham Rd.
